ALL4PACK Emballage Paris : new structure, new content, new space - ALL4PACK (2024)

The 2022 edition of ALL4PACK Emballage Paris will open the era of revolutions for this French trade show, which has become an international benchmark for the entire packaging and intralogistics ecosystem.

“We want to be the forerunner of new packaging solutions as well as the production chain,” says Guillaume Schaeffer, Director of the ALL4PACK Emballage Paris fair at a press conference.

Just two months before the 2022 edition of ALL4PACK Emballage Paris (November 21-24 2022), director Guillaume Schaeffer presented the big news that will await visitors. He also took the opportunity to emphasise that the more difficult economic and environmental context should accelerate the revolution in which the owners of the ALL4PACK Emballage Paris brand, the Comexposium group, are engaged. “We are very happy to be back after four years of absence and we are all going to enjoy getting together again. But above all, we are also going to take up the challenges facing the packaging and intralogistics sectors together,” he says. “Be agents of change: this is our “call to arms” to our visitors and our exhibitors, in this very particular context.”

A clearer organisation of space at the show

ALL4PACK Emballage Paris is reinventing and adapting itself. For its 1,300 exhibitors (including 50% from overseas) and 66,000 visitors (including more than 25% international), the show offers a complete range of packaging and machinery solutions for all industries in the sector. To better guide visitors, the trade show will present itself across new halls that are clearer, more compact and oriented around four poles: Packaging, Processing (the largest of the four halls), Printing and Intralogistics. “We will offer dedicated routes and guided tours to bring to light different innovations, approach by material and discover machines in operation. Exhibitors and visitors will be able to use our new networking app that makes it easy to find exhibitors, meet people and make appointments.”

The content of the show will be resolutely oriented towards future solutions and innovation with many highlights:
• The “Objective: Zero Impact” space. This represents a unique hybrid event, bringing together agents of responsible change who will seek sustainable and responsible solutions for all corners of the sector. “Objective: Zero Impact” aspires to be a platform for discussions and a think tank with, at its heart, solutions for action through introductions, new cooperation and professional commitments.

• The “ALL4PACK Innovations” space, which will include a presentation of major packaging trends by Fabrice Peltier; partner and expert design consultant, who will decipher 100 innovative packaging models. As for the showcase of the 2022 Innovation Awards, here we will see new products from the sectors covered by the show and other international competitions (the Packaging Oscars, SIAL Innovation, De Gooden Noot, Emballé 5.0). In 2018, more than 300 products were submitted to the competition and 46 innovations were selected by the jury. The products will compete in the following categories: Sustainable and Responsible Solution, Design and Ergonomics, Innovative Technology and finally The Material of the Future and Logistics Performance.

• The “ALL4PACK Conferences” space which will, over the four days of the show, offer a complete cycle of conferences related to the major challenges of the sector.

Professionals are increasingly concerned about the environment, according to a survey

Sustainability and respect for the environment in the packaging sector will in fact be the major issue on which manufacturers and service providers are working. This is confirmed by a survey, conducted by ALL4PACK Emballage Paris of its community of professionals.

This study shows that 88% of professionals in the sector believe that the use of more environmentally-friendly packaging is a priority issue. The main reasons motivating this transition are consumer expectations (69%), benefits in terms of image (56%) and changes in legislation (49%).

Conversely, barriers were described, unsurprisingly, as being: the cost of using environmentally friendly packaging materials (63%), availability (43%) and quality of materials (37%).

The survey also notes the emergence of new materials. While paper/cardboard and plastic dominate packaging, according to 77% and 73% of responses, biomaterials follow with 18%. However, these should progress rapidly, given that 37% of respondents said they want to start using them within the next two years. 46% of decision-makers surveyed said they also want to use paper/cardboard. The use of single-use plastic could then drop by 32%, again according to the surveyed.

The difficult context in which ALL4PACK Emballage Paris is taking place will not prevent the sector from celebrating its reunion. “We are going to have a big evening organised on November 23rd with all the exhibitors, buyers and partners of the show. Some 2,000 participants are expected. And that too is brand new feature for this 2022 edition,” says Guillaume Schaeffer.
