Fjordur has lots of resources you can gather to craft a variety of stuff. Specifically, there are 24 different resources scattered throughout the map, but you can actually find some of them close to each other. In this ultimate resource guide, I’m going to show you the exact locations of these resources.
Ultimate Resource Guide – Where to Find All Materials in ARK Fjordur
This is a pretty extensive list, so without any further ado, here are the locations of various resources on the Fjordur map:
Metal
To find metal, you’ll want to head over to the redwoods located on the northeastern side of the map. You’ll find a bunch of metal nodes in the area, mostly on top of some small mounds. You can also find a few just slightly above the redwoods in the snowy region.
Cementing Paste
Cementing paste can be found inside beaver dams. You’ll find a handful of these dams in a lake on coordinates 48.7, 73.3. You can find a bit more of these beaver dams by simply following the downstream onto the next lake at the bottom.
Organic Polymer
You can farm this resource from the penguins located in the snowy region, specifically on coordinates 53.0, 38.2. Alternatively, you can farm the resource from mantises near the volcano on coordinates 93.0, 78.8. Be careful when farming mantises due as they deal a lot of damage. Make sure you have the right gear when attempting to farm them.
Oil, Silica, and Black Pearls
You can technically find these resources all throughout the ocean. However, one specific spot where you can easily find loads of them is on coordinates 46.7, 44.1. You can find a lot of oil nodes in this area as well as several clams that you can harvest for silica.
As for the black pearls, you’ll want to head over to coordinates 60.1, 52.4 and dive deep to the bottom of the ocean. You should be able to find a bunch. Do take note, however, that this resource is quite rare.
Crystals and Red, Blue, and Green Gems
These resources can all be found inside a single cave on coordinates 56.6, 84.6. You can easily spot the entrance with its clusters of violet crystals lining on both sides. All you have to do is head inside the cave and farm as many of these resources as you possibly can. There are lots of them inside, with green gems as the exception.
To farm green gems, you want to head over to coordinates 41.1, 31.8 and dive deep into the ocean and look for a small cave entrance. This will take you to an Aberration area where you’ll find a handful of green gems as well as some gas pools.
Sulfur/Condensed Gas
You can farm both of these resources near the volcano on the southeastern part of the map. They’re on coordinates 74.4, 90.4 just right next to a small sulfuric spring.
Element Shards
These shards can be found inside the cave where the Magmasaurs spawn. You can find the entrance on coordinates 95.7, 79.6. From there, simply head inside and go deep until you come across the lava area. Here, you’ll find a handful of pink crystals which you can mine for Element Shards.
Raw Mutton
To gather Raw Mutton, you have to find and slaughter Ovis which you can find on coordinates 89.8, 18.3. Since they spawn in snowy regions, make sure you wear appropriate gear to survive the cold.
Rare Flowers and Mushrooms
This group includes Rare Flowers, Rare Mushrooms, Silk, and Plant Y Seeds. The best location to farm them is on coordinates 46.0, 53.0. All you need to do is harvest the reeds that grow on the riverbank. To maximize the amount of resources you can gather, I highly recommend riding on a Therizino while doing so.
Spoiled Meat, General Mushrooms, and Plant X Seeds
You can quickly find tons of Spoiled Meat by heading over to the swamps at coordinates 46.6, 09.4. All you have to do is harvest the lying corpses of dinos scattered throughout the area. They also yield a good amount of organic polymer.
In this area, you can also find lots of mushrooms lying on the ground. Harvest these mushrooms to obtain various mushrooms such as Auric mushroom, Ascerbic mushroom, Aquatic mushroom, and Aggeravic mushroom.
Lastly, you can find several Plant X species in this area which you can harvest to gather Plant X seeds.
Obsidian
You can find various Obsidian nodes lying around the volcano. Specifically, you want to go to coordinates 94.5, 95.7.
