Satisfy that pizza crazing with our CHAFFLE PIZZA! It’s so quick and simple to whip these up and, since the crust is made of chaffles, they’re super filling.

Easy Cheesy Keto Pizza! (1)

Adding to our pizza recipe collection today with this pizza chaffle!

This recipe is so simple to make, can be topped in any number of ways, and it’s ready in minutes.

Plus, the crust is made of egg and cheese so it’s got protein and fat which give it lots of ‘staying’ power. These pizza chaffles fill you up and keep you going!

You’ve probably seen our Keto Arby’s chaffle sandwich and our Big Mac chaffle. We’ve even turned chaffles into low carb bagels. It was high time we made a pizza chaffle.

Table of Contents

Ingredients Needed:

Egg – We use the whole egg, but I’ve heard egg whites also work, if that’s your style.

Mozzarella Cheese – Both in the crust and on top!

Coconut Flour – just a teaspoon to bulk the dough up and give it more of a bread-like texture.

Baking Powder

Pizza Sauce – We often use Rao’s marinara sauce here, but your favorite sugar-free sauce will be great.

Toppings – Pepperoni is our go-to, but feel free to get creative.

Waffle Maker:

We use and LOVE the Dash Mini Waffle Maker. It makes the perfect 4 inch sized chaffle, which means it works great as a bread replacement too.

You may use a larger waffle iron, but you’ll need to adjust the batter to fit. Our chaffle recipes are developed for the Dash and there is always the perfect amount of batter to fit.

How To:

  1. Make the Chaffle – Whisk together the egg, coconut flour, and baking powder. Stir in the mozzarella. Add 1/2 the batter to a mini waffle iron for 3 minutes. Repeat with the other 1/2 of the batter.
  2. Top – Spread sauce on the chaffles. Top with cheese and pepperoni.
  3. Bake – Pop these in a hot oven for 5 minutes to melt the cheese.

More Topping Ideas:

  • Pepperoni
  • Sausage
  • Ground Beef
  • Ham
  • Bacon
  • Mushrooms
  • Bell Peppers
  • Onions
  • Olives
  • Jalapeno

I’m allergic to nuts, so coconut, flour, almond flour are not options for me, do you know a good substitute?

    • Karly Campbell says

I’m sorry, I don’t. You could just leave the flour out of the chaffle, but that won’t help for other recipes.

Just made your parmesan chicken and it was so good.

Just wondering on Charles can I use almond flour instead of coconut.

I’m so happy I found you!!

Hi Patricia! So glad you’re enjoying our recipes!

Normally, almond flour and coconut flour can’t be swapped for each other without a lot of other changes, but they’re fine to swap in chaffles! Almond flour will work great. 🙂

If you don’t have a mini waffle iron can you bake the crust in the oven?

I’ve never tried – not sure, but my guess is that it wouldn’t work.

IS the nutritional info correct? I’m wondering how the calories for one could be 92 when the calories for one of your plain chaffles is 101, and that’s without extra cheese, sauce and pepperoni on top. I’ve made the pizza chaffle and I loved it but I want to be sure I’m entering the correct nutritional info in to my carb manager app.

Hi Nikki! The nutrition info for the regular chaffles is for 2 chaffles. The nutrition info for the pizza is just for 1. 🙂

I know that but the math still doesn’t add up. Ypu can see in my question i put one regular chaffle, so I took the calories for two and divided it to figure out what one was. It’s still more than one pizza chaffle.

Ah, yeah, you’re right. I’m not sure why that is happening. The nutrition information is calculated automatically and it usually comes through pretty accurately, but something must be off on one of them. I’ll look into and see what I can find. You can always add the ingredients to your carb counter and see what you’re coming up with. 🙂

Okay, I just refreshed it and made sure it had each ingredient calculated and the counts are up a bit. Not sure what was going on there!

How do you adjust the recipe for a regular waffle maker?

    Reply

    • Karly Campbell says

It’ll depend on how large your waffle maker is, but you’ll just want to create enough of the egg mixture to fill it.

You could cook them longer in the waffle maker to get them crisper. 🙂

      Reply

      • Puetzaroni says

Why triple the amount if using almond flour?

        Reply

        • Karly Campbell says

Almond flour and coconut flour are two very different things. Coconut flour soaks up a ton of moisture whereas almond flour doesn’t.
