Disney travel agents can take advantage of discounted rates on accommodation and park entrance fees for their personal trips as well.

Save Money at Disney By Bringing Your Own Water Bottle

Disney even offers free water bottle refill stations throughout the park! This can mean huge cost savings! On a hot Florida day, we all could use more water. Instead of spending money on water bottles, bring a few with you and fill them up throughout the day!

Walt Disney World Resort does not offer senior citizen discounts on tickets, Disney Resort hotels or vacation packages. However, you may wish to check with any senior citizen organizations that you belong to, as special offers may be available through those groups.

It doesn't cost you any extra to book through an agent vs. booking straight through Disney. Disney pays commission to the agency that books you, but at no cost to you.

The commission structure with Disney is pretty straightforward. For most vacations, especially for new travel agents, your commission starts out at 10%. That means if you book a $5,000 trip, you'll make $500 after the person travels. Disney cruises are a little different depending on the volume of sales you have.

In many locations in the parks, you can ask Cast Members for water and they are complimentary. Not all locations have them so knowing where to ask is key. All table-service dining locations have water available during your meal, some will also provide you with a to-go cup of water as well.

Visiting Disney on a Budget

As you can see, it's totally possible to visit Disney World for under $1000 a person. Using the calculations above, it would cost around $2,000 for a family of 4. That's pretty impressive when you recognize that the usual cost is between $3000 and $5000 for a family of that size.

AAA offers discounted Disney World tickets. As a AAA member, you can save up to 30% on attraction tickets if you purchase through AAA. Be careful when looking for discounted tickets, though. Only buy through reputable sellers, as many scammers try to take advantage of people purchasing Disney tickets.

If one day isn't enough for you to explore the parks, buy a multi-day pass. You'll save a few dollars per day on each ticket, compared to buying only a one-day ticket. For example, a single-day Magic Kingdom ticket is priced from $105, but a two-day ticket costs $202 per day.
